Constructivism- 1917- 1935
Constructivism is a
movement which evolved in the year of 1917-1935 which comes into the 20th
Century. Constructivism is mostly referred to the primarily Russian art, design
and also architecture. Cubism and also Futurism was also inspired from the
Russians. Some artist that took part in the constructivism were Vladimir Tatlin
, Kasimir Malevich, Alexander der Rodchenko.
We also can see two particular artists which are Wassily Kandinsky and
also Nikolai Suetin. Constructivism is based
more on like a
modern design because when we see
the designs of the constructivism they
look very common to nowadays designs.
The materials that were used in the constructivism movement were modern
materials such as the porcelain. There were two publications of the
manifesto in the 1920 which were The Program of the Group of
Constructivists which was by Alexei
Gan, Varvara Stepanova and
Rodchenko and also A Realistic
Manifesto which was
by Pevner and Gabo.
Wassily Kandinsky who was
a designer and an artist in
constructivism has created a
design which is called coffee cup
and saucer which this product
was designer for
the porcelain factory in Petrograd in the 1921.
Nikolau Suetin
also was
a designer and an artist
in the constructivism movement who designed the writing set
which this piece
of art was
designer for the state porcelain factory in Petrograd in the 1923. This piece
of art is a piece
that it can be
used but you can
also decorate with this
piece of art.
Constructivism looks
modern so I think
that nowadays it
still can be a
famous movement because the techniques that are
used on this pieces
of art are modern and
the colors are
still be seen
nowadays with the bright
red color in white
and also with
some bold re d straight lines
I see it that constructivism have some
of the De Stijl
movement because of
the colors and
also because of the lines
that we see on
the designs and also the
cubism.
Comments: Most of the
products we see in the constructivism are
based more on 3D
design and products such as the
pictures seen above which they are the
coffee cup and saucer and also a decorative piece of art.
